ECO LABEL for Dishwasher Detergents

We use the dishwasher to wash the dishes almost every day, and the washing machine to clean the clothes in our homes. So, dishwasher detergents or laundry detergents are everyday items today, and about hundreds of thousands of tons of dishwasher detergent and millions of tons of laundry detergent are sold every year.

However, the components of these detergents reach the wastewater along with the wash or rinse water and therefore can have an adverse effect on water bodies if the wastewater treatment plant cannot completely retain or degrade the components. 

In addition, washing agents and detergents may contain health-threatening substances such as certain preservatives or allergenic fragrances that are not used in ECO LABEL products or must be reduced to absolute minimum if necessary. 

One of the main components of detergents are surfactants. These substances can be produced on the basis of petrochemicals and / or renewable raw materials. Here, the use of sustainably produced raw materials contributes efficiently to sustainable development. 

ECO LABEL certified detergents will contribute to sustainable development by preferentially using renewable raw materials in their production - to the greatest extent possible - produced under sustainable conditions or that promote sustainable production.
