Compact fluorescent lamps - also popularly called "energy-saving light bulbs" - and LED lamps use much less electricity than incandescent lamps to produce the same light. 

Thus, they help reduce the home lighting bill: up to 80 percent at best. However, not all energy-saving lamps are equally good. Lamps with ECO LABEL certification are high quality products that offer many benefits.
